First of all, let me take a quick note: The longer that I've been here the more that I've noticed what one of my exchange friends had mentioned before leaving, and that is: don't blink. And well, because I'm only human I have to sadly do such a think. The result? My days fly by so quickly! And this means that when it comes to things like writing I tend to become so far behind very quickly. And so for instance tonight, I've finally caught up on replying to letters and sending things in the mail and now it's for round 2: catch up on my blogging! So hopefully within the next few days I'll be able to write a few posts, and although they might not be posted on the day it happened.. I hope you all still enjoy reading about my adventures!
This weekend was the first full weekend that I have been actually home here in Turku, Finland. As most of you have read, these past two weekends I've spent at Summer Cottage and before then I was at camp in Karkku. And best of all, I'm starting to get better (finally) from being sick so that just made the weekend all the more fun and adventurous! So let's begin!

Perjantai (friday) - Today was my first day back in school after the past two days of being home sick. I was well rested, on medicine, and more than ready to face the day ahead of me! My outlook on everything was now all of the sudden completely optimistic - I felt like I could face the world. And the world I faced!
Classes went great, especially because Friday's are a bit of an easy day for me since I only have two classes and I get out by 1pm. After my last class I was hanging out with some friends from school and they invited me to this well-being club that they had in school - it's like a course for them, because they get a grade and credit for it but it's much like a club. When we got there they gave us a banana and cookies for a snack (always a plus) and then started giving information of the club's schedule for the next year. Basically twice a month they just take field trips to different city's or places and learn about well-being. I know it sounds kinda boring but it's actually really interesting and they do/see a lot of different things! I asked the teacher's if I could be a part of the coarse and they said I'm more than welcome to join (even though it'll all be in Finnish) and also, I won't be able to get a grade or any credit for the class. Does this matter to me? Nope! So we'll see if how this goes.. hopefully I'll be able to continue :)
After the class a friend from school invited me and another girl from school over to her house to hangout and eat food. I know it seems like an interesting way to put things but that's exactly what we did. We put Adele on record, cooked up some good food, and talked about everything that came to mind.
Now wouldn't you agree that all of the above sounds like a pretty great time?
Well... if you're anything like me, you would think so. ;)
