The birds are singing, and it's 10:00PM;

In life, if you view it in a broad spectrum it might seem insignificant. Unimportant. Such as, if you haven't really accomplished much at all. But that's not the way one should view their own life, or the lives of others. It has to become a bit deeper than that. You have to look into the details, view the pieces that are like small cracks in the sidewalk. When you do so, it's then that you'll notice each and every little moment is something precious in itself. Those moments are memories, and those memories become history. Which then, creates us to be who we are and what we are made of. With each new moment is like an empty canvas and we are the artists. If we constantly try to control every single detail and moment, it might not end up the way we intended it to be. But if we just go ahead and let go; we might be amazed by the outcome.

I have no idea where this text came from, but I suppose it's the thoughts in my head because it's what I typed just now. Anyways, tonight's been such a beautiful evening and I just wanted to write a small post about it. Earlier today, I was in a city called Tampere visiting some lovely exchange student friends. Although it was great friend hanging out with them and seeing the city, I came home feeling so exhausted and just generally out of it. And so, I asked if we could go ahead and warm up the sauna for the evening and I decided to have a bit of a beauty evening for myself. My host mom made everyone some pancakes instead of an actual dinner, because we had all had really big lunches. My host sister Venla and I chatted and did face masks and I was able to shave my legs. After sauna I tweezed my eyebrows and painted my nails. Oh how I sometimes just love being a girl!  Throughout the evening, and even the last few days, I've been listening to Greg Laswell on Spotify. His music is just so calming and beautiful and I simply adore it! Here's one song in particular which I really like. Before coming to my room to start writing this post, my host dad called me and told me to step outside. It was just before 10:00 p.m. and I was surprised to see that it was still partially light outside. And I was even more surprised to hear that the birds were singing! So late at night! Still, even towards the end of my year I am finding more & more things to be amazed by here in Finland. Especially when it comes to the nature.

"The past teaches, the future shows but the most important thing is what's present."
