District Conference 1410

Last weekend I attended my District Conference for Rotary Youth Exchange. It's weird to think that already 1 year ago I was attending my District Conference back in Illinois, being an inbound preparing to leave for exchange. Now, I'm an outbound & only have a few more months before departing my host country. It's been a great year though and so much has happened! Wouldn't change any of it for the world. The first part of the conference was held at a building right here in Turku, which was nice being able to go "away" for a weekend but not having to actually travel out of the city. There was some sort of banquet where many Rotarians were attending as well as all of us exchange students. This event in itself wasn't too exciting but it was really great to see and hangout with everyone. We all wore our blazers, and had to come up with some sort of presentation/performance for the Rotarians. It's always interesting when you have 30+ (teenage) students from all across the world and tell them "You got less than 1 hour.. come up with a 20 minute presentation!" Without due, we managed to pull something through and did what we need... as always ;)
