Update from Lapland!

Moi, Kaikille! (hello everyone!)
As I'm writing a short update this afternoon I am writing from a hotel lobbie's computer in Pyhä-Luosto, Lapland; for those non local Finns... Take out a map, look at Finland, then point your finger towards the Northern end & that's where I'm at. I've been spending my days here since Friday afternoon with my current host family and their relatives, in a combination of enjoying our Easter holiday as well as celebrating my "host-grandpa's" 70th birthday. We've spent our time enjoying time together, speaking lots of Finnish and enjoying all that there is to offer here in the beautiful North. From cross country skiing, long walks, seeing the northern lights, trying snowboarding for the first time, and trying many traditional Lappish foods such as reindeer and cold salmon, it's been quite the experience! Being now my 2nd time here I have enjoyed my time just as much as the first.

Now, I will be getting around to writing more about my time spent here with lots of photo's to share... but being that I'm not on my own computer at the moment, and have limited access to share such things at the moment you will all just have to be patient and wait! Tonight I will be taking the overnight train back to my "home away from home" in Turku. When I get around to it, I'll first be making a few posts about some events and such that I hadn't gotten around to before my travels. And then following, more about my time here in Lapland. I just thought for now it would be nice for me to share something short & sweet to send an update to all!

Hope everyone has had a lovely Easter and enjoy's a beautiful start to a new month of many possibility's. Until next time!

Xx,
alisa nicholle
