Staying at camp in Karkku we had the opportunity to go to one of the oldest churches here in Sastamala. We took a bus to the location not very far away and had a "church service" inside of the building. Mainly, a few of us students did some performances by candlelight.
One of the tutors and I did a performance together singing a song by Regina Spektor and then a bunch of us students (probably 20 or so) sang Hallelujah with the piano. I have to say singing in that church was one of the most amazing, unforgettable things ever. It was so beautiful! The way that the acoustics were in the building gave me goose bumps. Honestly, words cannot describe the kind feeling you had when you were inside of there.. singing with all your heart, with all the history surrounding you.
And then my favorite shot of the day from a little small, side room next to the sanctuary there was this very dim-lite room that had only this small window. Everything was so dark but yet seemed to hold so many secrets behind in. This is one of the students who is in my district.
And then of course, the outside of the building was just as beautiful
as the inside of the building. See for yourself!
And then back to camp we went! :)
