200 Days!

Guess what? Just a few days ago (20/02
officially marked me being in Finland for 200 days!

Jade keeping me company & photographing!
In a bit of celebration of the big 200 days I decided to do something that I've been wanting to do for a veeeeery long time! A few weeks ago I made a hair appointment to get my haircut... completely. Since about spring '12 I've been telling myself and others that I really want to get a pixie haircut and that in Finland I was finally going to do it! After much thinking and consideration I finally decided to just go for it. I was once again going to wait until I returned back home but then decided that it's something I've wanted for a really long time now, and if I don't do it now I might loose the courage. My friend Jade who lives in Turku decided she would come along and keep me company -- and maybe a bit of emotional support, too.
It was great to have someone there and she was able to capture photo's of the process along the way! Check out these photo's, I find them pretty amusing. Photo credit goes to Jade, edits by me.

Just before starting! Showing the hair dresser some photo's of what I had in mind.
I think the hairdresser asked me at least 3 times if I was sure before he took the scissors and cut off all my hair. I have to say, this is a pretty great picture captured of the process! I had a nervous assuring smile on my face.
And the final results! Just finishing the last minute touches!
I have to say, having shorter hair is a really weird feeling but I absolutely love it!
Not only is it suuuuper easy to wash and style in the morning's, I just love the way it looks on me. I do have to admit I was nervous about going for such a bold step but I think it turned out excellent! I was blessed to have such a talented hair dresser work on my hair. He not only was a really nice person to talk to, but also did my hair with such detail! It took over 2 1/2 hours! Although it was a long time to wait I think it was worth it 100% Plus, afterwords Jade & I rewarded ourselves with pizza and dessert so it really was a great way to end the day!
Mmm - dessert!
& there you have it ladies and gents, the final results!
I have to say it was a pretty big success considering I posted this lovely webcam photo
on facebook and got +185 likes and over +45 comments. Wow!
AND just for fun... I'll include a few more silly webcam photo's I've taken.
I'm thinking I really need to get myself to take legit -- none webcam -- photo's with this new style ASAP.
Hope you guys like this new style as much as I do!
XOXO
